Building a sustainable tomorrowWe are seeking an Instrument Coordinator to join us at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth where we are the preferred contractor to carry out heavy civil engineering construction.
Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process.

Your missionAs an Instrument Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure survey equipment is received and returned as per the survey and measurement procedures.
- Manage the surveying teams survey and measurement equipment.
- Provide a support function to assist engineers managing their survey equipment.
- Verify that survey instruments are routinely checked by all users and identify and quarantine any faulty instruments.
- Creation and maintenance of The Instrument Check and Adjust Records spreadsheet.
- Maintain a file of calibration/conformity certificates for the instrumentation.
- Creation and maintenance of a Measurement Equipment Register and Calibration Programme.
- Manage and distribute survey procedures that support the use of survey equipment.
- Technically support the engineers through the management of survey equipment and guiding through surveying standards.
- Follow safe working methodologies and procedures to support a survey team through a complex and controlled work environment.
- Support the survey team in surveying activities.
Who are we looking for?- Surveyor or engineer with a background in the construction industry.
- Experience in working on a Nuclear Licensed site or similar controlled environments.
- UK major projects experience.
- Academic Qualifications preferred NVQ Level 3 and above - Surveying / Construction / Civil Engineer.
- Experience of similar role and using survey instruments and software.
